There
was the North Sea and an endless horizon. There was a longing
gaze and a need for an overview. There was a stroke of German
Romanticism. The Privileged Position turned out to be difficult
to conquer; it had a tendency to spin or come crashing down.
In order for it to hover with the gaze fixed at the horizon,
we had to run like mad, the wind had to be favourable and the
frame rebuilt three times. Despite the hard labour and footwork,
the moments seemed to last only for a few seconds. Eventually,
the Priviliged Position was trashed.
The rokkakaku is a Japanese kite, which is usually decorated
with portraits of historical heroes or other famous characters.
