This is a meditative and poetic video installation where the visitors are asked to lay down beneath a tilted screen. A narration unfolds with references to photosynthesis, photography, the evolution of the eye, and eventually about loss of continuity and the ability to see. The storytelling is sometimes interrupted by suggestions of how to behave, or where to direct the gaze.
The sound and imagery
can be associated with therapy, indoctrination, or even hypnosis. The title refers to the process in which plants store energy from the sun, but also how the human eye and brain process visual information. The soundscape contains several voices, ambience, silence, and sounds from the sun as well as the human body.

Length: 9:40 min.
Language: English
Narrators: Orenda Fink and Matt Wycoff.

With support from: Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts, Omaha, Nebraska, USA.

Installation photos from the solo exhibition "Limitcruisers", 300m3 Art Space, Göteborg, Sweden, 2008.
